Geliga Printing is a printing hub based in Sungai Petani, Kedah. They strive to move beyond just another print shop, to be recognized as a trusted partner that empowers businesses through impactful identity solutions.

Challenge:

Previously known for affordable printing shop, Geliga reached a plateau and realized the need for a stronger brand presence. Their new goal is to be perceived as a reliable, dynamic, and resourceful printing partner, offering complete solutions for business identity and growth.

Solution:

Working directly with the CEO Faris Zainudin and his team, we quickly understood their ambition. Geliga came prepared with clarity on their vision and mission, as well as references from their own observations. This allowed us to run a smooth process, where our role was to sharpen their brand strategy and strengthen their identity. By analyzing their competitors, target market, and the moods and feelings they wanted to evoke, we developed a brand system that reflects resilience, reliability, and community — all while preparing Geliga to scale into new ventures.


The Strategy

We began by uncovering how Geliga was being perceived: capable but often seen as just another print shop. Through competitor analysis, customer profiling, and brand audits, we identified the gaps and opportunities that could set them apart.

From these insights, we built a brand positioning that highlights Geliga as a reliable partner for businesses, not just a service provider. This positioning was anchored on values of reliability, innovation, and community support.

We then translated this strategy into a clear voice, identity system, and visual language that connects with both existing clients and future markets, while preparing the brand for expansion into new sub-brands and business ventures.


Look & Feel

We explored Geliga’s identity through three moodboard concepts: Crafted Energy, Smart Utility, and Bold Heritage. Each concept highlighted a unique perspective, from vibrant creativity to structured clarity and exclusive community presence.

After careful consideration, we combined the strengths of Crafted Energy and Smart Utility to capture the best of both worlds. The outcome is a premium and dynamic utilitarian style that feels professional, reliable, and adaptable, while still vibrant enough to reflect Geliga’s ambition and growth.

The Sketch

With a clear understanding of the overall brand direction, we began the logo development process by sketching initial concepts. We then present them to Faris Zainudin to gather his opinions on the directions. Through multiple rounds of exploration and iteration, we searched for potential marks that could truly represent Geliga.

The process involved several feedback sessions where we presented options and gathered thoughts and feelings from the team, while also providing our recommendations. This feedback loop allowed us to refine the design into a mark that the team not only loved but also felt confident carrying forward. The final refinements focused on structure, balance, and precision, using grids to ensure a logo that is both dynamic and perfectly constructed.
